I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating from start to finish. I purchased a car battery through Walmart online and scheduled a free battery installation at the Waukegan, Illinois Walmart Auto Care Center. Walmart already had my vehicle’s make and model because it’s saved in my account, so if my vehicle wasn’t eligible for installation, that should have been identified before allowing me to schedule the appointment. When I arrived, I waited about 20 minutes before an employee finally told me they couldn’t install the battery because of where it’s located in my vehicle. At that point, I had wasted my time and had to go home and replace the battery myself. The next day, I returned to bring back my old battery for the core refund. That’s when the experience got even worse. The Auto Care Center told me I hadn’t paid the core charge, even though it’s clearly listed on my receipt. They then sent me to the Customer Service desk, where the associate scanned my receipt, told me the exact same thing, and instructed me to call the 1-800 number. No one seemed to understand how the battery purchase or core charge process worked, and instead of helping resolve the

Alex R. helped me reattach my undercarriage and squeezed me into the schedule so I could get back on the road! He was super nice and generous. I recommend asking for him!

Not really sure where all the bad reviews are coming from, I've been here for several appointments and front desk staff is always professional and service is pretty timely (consistently about an hour for tire installations and rotations). Had one instance where my purchase of lifetime rotations wasn't recognized by the computer but front desk promptly refunded the charge and apologized. I have only been in for morning appointments so maybe busy times of the day could be frustrating with longer lines, but where wouldn't that be the case? I've always been able to reach someone over the phone and they have been consistently polite and helpful. I think the main reason this location has poor reviews is that most people don't think to review a large chain like Walmart unless they happen to have a bad experience. I've always been happy with the experience here.

Vector Eloy Sergio helped me with my oil change and did a great job. Except oil change, they checked other things including the tires, and answered my questions patiently. They are excellent! I also want to mention that the receptionist Christine and Randall are very nice and helpful. I really appreciate the excellent service!

The associate helped me out over the phone with fixing my error i made on the app. I came in a little earlier than my appointment time and they started my services early. The service time was quicker than i thought. Great tire and oil change prices.
